As in Colorado and so many other places, the weather changes here frequently.  It was especially cold our first few days here — in the 50s and low 60s by day, low 40s at night. Storms dropped heavy rains before our arrival.

Fog  blanketed the area well into mid-morning.  That just added mystery to David and Sonha’s morning walks — or in Sonha’s case, bushwhacking.

She needs to smell every plant, and in the process, their leaves and blossoms rub against her coat. One morning she came home with a yellow tint to her white coat. The next day it was green! I can only imagine that our carpet will acquire some of those hues too.

The Santa Ana winds that usually sweep across this region at this time of year have yet to arrive.  But dry, warmer weather has. We’re now enjoying temperatures in the 70s and 80s by day, with cool, “good sleeping” weather at night.
