For now, we’re enjoying hanging out in Pahrump, NV. Quiet, pleasant temperatures in the 60s, lots of sunshine. We hope to pay a visit to Denver in late April/early May. We’ll keep you posted.

Thanks for sharing the news about the monetary appreciation of your Colorado Guide Book. Who knows it will be worth on the Antique Road Show in another seventy five years! It must have been fun to make the discovery on amazon.com. Where are you heading next?

Wowser …. Rose and David! Isn’t this great news!! My copy of your book is “settled in” on the home front bookcase …. where it shall remain. Sounds like all is well with you. I just got back from one week in Florida where I relished the warm weather … and no bulky clothing. Now, of course, I’m back in Denver where there’s an ermine carpet spread out everywhere. I’m trying to reframe it …. to a soft, creamy and sandy beach with waves lapping at the shore. Am I on drugs, or what?

Thanks, David. You’ve given important info that the marker doesn’t provide — the name of the man lynched. So I googled Lore and found out his name was George W. Lore and he reportedly murdered Henry Blake while (Blake was) returning to Mississippi from Glenville, Alabama where he
had been visiting Americus Columbus Mitchell. Now the question: what was the murderer’s motive?
