After a steady rain, the sun reappeared late afternoon, bringing smiles to our faces. We’ve quickly learned to take advantage of the windows of good weather and head to the beach. Today we went twice — when the sun first came out and again after dinner for the 8:30 pm sunset.
To anyone else, the seal in this photo looks like a black dot in the waves. But I know that it’s the seal that loves to tease me by popping up its head and then disappearing underwater. It likes to surf in the high tide waters rippling into the mouth of Hunter Creek. And it seems to be as curious about us as I am about it.
Moments like these make life here special!

Lovely. Great photos, Rose. Wish I were there with you and David!
Seeing your photo of the beach and ocean took my breath away. How wonderful to have that beauty every day.
I do see the seal in your second photo too. I’m reminded of the seals playing in the San Diego harbor for our lunch time entertainment last June.
Enjoy yourselves!
You have captured the breath-taking beauty. How fun to have a “pet” seal.
